Self-Referential Songs (demo)

Song Description
A tongue-in-cheek, hypocritical poke at payola, and several pop stars/songs. Please raise the roof while listening.

A little outside my comfort genre; if I ever make this song shinier I'm going to have to transpose it a few steps higher into my range. And EQ the vocals better.
Lyrics
V1

hey doctor dj
did you forget this is another payday?
are checks and balances all making headway
to have these songs prolonged as radio mainstay?

i, i, i've got the girls in the back,
the guys in the corner
playing bass to displace disgrace
of performers who make lemonade from claps and the torture that is
spelled out whispered or made to order

CHORUS

shout if you hate self-referential songs
or the ones that make you sing aloud
shout if you hate self-referential songs
or the ones that make you sing aloud

V2

you with the white mink
with the sunglasses and the Cristal to drink
always louder than artists whose strings
you pull with flashy cars and what what bling bling

ah, hey, hey did you know, for a fee
you get a guarantee
copyright's on your side
so in your release then you don't have to increase the frequency
of your dropped names, dates and remixees

(CHORUS)

BRIDGE BINGE

Say A.B.Y.S.M.A.L.
A.B.Y.S.M.A.L.
A.B.Y.S.M.A.L.
A.B.Y.S.M.A.L.

(CHORUS)

RAP :-)

if you're sick of this song, clap your hand with the other hand
neighbors hand hand outs out to the caravan
next to your adjacent. then have them replace it.
if you use bovines that's how you cow exchange it

2006 y'all. this is not the remix. it is just the mix. let's keep it that way.
