In a wholesome tale of friendship and necessity, a wooden (cutting board) pig is teased by the narrator and his spoon. But even wooden pigs have feelings.

In truth, this all started out as an ad-hoc pose when a friend was playing with my digital camera. As the pose was in the kitchen, I quickly grabbed the wooden pig and spoon and motioned as though I was going to stab or beat it. Fast forward a week or two. As I was searching for a lyrical topic one night, another friend suggested that I write about the photograph.

And I did. And it was catchy (I've heard people sing this more than I care to mention; and yes, 1 is more than I care to mention). And oddly, no, there was no intended sexual connotation here either (that is, "beating the pig"). Sorry Herman :-).
