Grandmas Will Fight For Your Soul (demo)
by The Cow Exchange
Track 2 from the album FAWM 2007 Demos (Body Parts); released Feb 27, 2007

The song is about zombie grandmothers. It has an old-western chorus. The vocal take is a bit rough/distorted, but it's enough to let me move on.

The title was generated by programmatically connecting random 2-grams from blues song titles on the freedb database. I.e: {"grandmas will", "will fight", "fight for", "for your", "your soul"}.

Puce and my wife helped me save the lyrics from a really corny demise (yes, it could have been cornier). Thanks pals!
Lyrics
V1

Life's not swell when you're going to hell so guard yours before it's cut.
Tell me Does Bessy wants to show you her stamp collection or just stamp your big trap shut?
Helen asked you to the alley for a match followed by some knitting.
But your screams'll be mute when you're close to the lane and we both know which kind of strike you're getting.

PRE-CHORUS 1
Yeah, they say you're a great bowler. And they're so happy to have you over 'cause

CHORUS

Grandmas will fight for your soul
Start running when you see them lurch
They're under the zombie control.
or they'll cross you just like they cross words!
Best to catch them in their tracks and launch a preemptive attack.
These Grandmas will fight for your soul

V2
Florence sees you as the free space DEAD center on her bingo card.
And Frances only asks your age to know how fresh those brain cells are.
Margaret softly stares at you greatly medicated.
Will Lillian dive in just for a kiss or leave your frontal lobe lacerated?

PRE-CHORUS 2
At first you'll feel awkward, but just wait until they're off their rockers! These

(CHORUS)

BRIDGE
No time to waste
They can't be changed
They are just slaves to their master
Have them restrained
Slash out their brains
Set 'em ablaze in the pasture

(CHORUS)
